Commission process
To commission a portrait, please contact me by either phoning, emailing or completing the form on the contact page.

In order to produce a realistic likeness, showing definition of fur, eyes and true colours, I will ask you to send your clearest, favourite photos of the subject. Ideally photos will have been taken at eye level and outside in natural light. A slightly overcast day is often better than a bright sunny one. If your favourite photo is a little blurry, I can often work with that alongside other clearer images.
After discussing which photo would work best as the final portrait, together with the size and date required, I will ask you for a £50 deposit to secure the booking.

You will be kept updated with regular progress pictures of your commission, or you may prefer to wait for the surprise!
Towards completion, I will check you are happy with the portrait, at which point any minor alterations can be made.

Your finished portrait will be supplied with a mount and backing board and sealed with a protective plastic sleeve ready for collection. If it is to be posted, the portrait will be packaged to a high standard to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

The remaining balance is payable on notification of completion.
